Bali is becoming increasingly popular for families with kids of all ages and I am asked all the time to suggest things to do while in Bali. I thought it is time for me to put it down on paper so I can share with you my favourite things to do on family outings when in Bali.

Enjoy, and contact me for any further details.

1. Waterbom

It has been here for as long as I can remember and I still cannot get enough of it. It is just the coolest waterpark. I love this place. The rides are amazing and worth any queuing time. It is clean and the grounds are well looked after. Waterbom even has a fantastic pool where the adults can kick back and enjoy a cold 'something' at the swim up bar while the kids are doing the 3rd and 4th rounds on their favourite slides.

This is truly an icon for all ages and a must do in Bali. http://waterbom-bali.com/

2. Bali Safari

A fun day out where you will only get to do something like this in Bali. A zoo, water park, with all the usual zoo attractions as well as a water/theme park plus a number of interactive shows and activities. Pricey but well worth it. http://www.balisafarimarinepark.com/

3. Bali Treetop Adventure Park

This is so cool! Voted with an excellence by Trip Advisor and you will see why. Fun for all the family and there are many courses to chose from. They start with carefully designed tree course for children as young as 4yrs of age and move up in different age/confidence levels up to the Adrenalin circuit for those wishing to live life on the edge. It is so much fun and a great day trip.

My advice is to plan this into your holiday and leave early to arrive for opening. It is approximately 75 mins drive each way, but if you go off the reviews its worth the trip and you are smack bang in the middle of Bali so there will be plenty to look at on the drive. http://www.balitreetop.com/

4. Canggu Club

If you havent been to the Canggu Club it is worth a visit. Whether it is a one off rainy day on your holiday, or you have had enough of sand and the hustle and bustle of the streets then head here for a day out with the kids. An indoor trampoline centre, a water park, tennis courts and even a bowling alley....adults, you dont even need to get involved - you can just sit at the club and enjoy a couple of cold beverages. Although it is only 13km away from Kuta it can be an issue to get there - like most places. Depending on the time of the day you head there it can take up to an hour from Kuta but it is so worth it . http://www.cangguclub.com/

5. Bali Zoo

Bali zoo hasn't had the greatest reputation in past years but there is change. With financial support and positive people now being a part of the zoo you can see there are only great things ahead. Support the positive work that is being done and check out Bali Zoo. http://www.bali-zoo.com/

6. 3D Trick Art Museum

A nice quiet activity to escape the heat, the 3D Art museum is becoming very popular for its quirky paintings and interactive displays. Its definitely worth checking out. http://balitrickart.com/

7. Surfing Lessons

If you want to give Surfing a go for the first time, or just have a refresh on your surfing skill set then join up for a surf lesson while on the beach. Its fun, the Indonesian Surfers Instructors can guide you, no matter what your skill level is and for something a little more hands on fun, put your holiday to good use and learn to surf

8. Finns Beach Club

If you feel like heading out for something different with the family then head off to Uluwatu for the day. Finns Beach Club is so cool. You pay an entrance fee to be a part of the club for the day which includes paddle boards, kayaks etc. as well as a luxury beach chair and towels. The beach is amazing and you have access to all their activities. If you wish to stay for the evening you can sit on bean bags at the beach and enjoy the bon fire. Oh, did I also mention how amazing their food and service is? Check them out here: http://www.finnsbeachclub.com/

9. Watersports Day

Head to Benoa Beach in Nusa Dua for a fun filled day of banana boating, parasailing , biscuiting as well as tons more activities. There are a huge amount of water sports to take part in, and there are different packages to chose from. A great day out where everyone will arrive back to their hotels exhausted. All details are attached on the website http://www.bali-water-sport.com/

10. Bali Butterfly Park

This is a wee kept secret in Bali as not many people know it exists. This is just near Sanur so not to far in a taxi if you wish to do something different or pop in while you are out and about.

It has some great reviews on Trip Advisor and all family members will enjoy it - no matter what the age.   http://www.tripadvisor.com.au/Attraction_Review-g294226-d592165-Reviews-Bali_Butterfly_Park-Bali.html
