Inside the Manse Luxury Lodge

The Manse offers spacious living areas, elegantly furnished with European flair. Two luxury suites (River View Suite and the Garden View Room) feature king size beds, draped with Frette linen.

Suites are air-conditioned, have underfloor heating, Nespresso machines for coffee, together with tea making facilities, home baked cookies, fresh fruit and bottled water are complimentary. Luxury toiletries, bathrobes and slippers are provided.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the lodge. The verandahs and patios open to the gardens and pool and the library is stocked with Cuban cigars and malt whiskies.

Pre-dinner drinks and canapés are offered each evening and fine dining is a feature at this luxury lodge. Guests wake to a gourmet breakfast served indoors or out. Produce is sourced from the farm and it’s fun to take a tour and meet the livestock including sheep, pigs, cattle and free-range hens. Take a cooking class with Gary or enjoy High Tea in the afternoon.

This is an opportunity to learn about what it takes to make exceptional wine and hear war stories from the vineyard.  Challenge your taste buds and discover unexpected pairings with food.  Includes one night's accommodation for two adults, pre-dinner drinks, a four course degustation dinner with wine matching, and breakfast.

Taste Hawkes Bay on Steroids

A unique opportunity to take a look behind the scenes and sample some of the best food and wine New Zealand has to offer. You will visit 4 locations including Pacifica, Craggy Range and Poivre & Sel.

Your food and wine tasting adventure will start after breakfast. Gary, will whisk you away in a BMW limousine to a surprise location not many get to visit. Next stop the restaurants for a private audience with the chefs and a taste of one of their seasonal / signature dishes matched with a glass of wine. The day will be rounded off at the Heretaunga Wine Studio. A once in a lifetime experience that will leave a lasting impression.

The Hosts and Local Activities

Hosts, Dietske and Gary are charming and speak English, Dutch, French and German.

Gary is a professional golfer and a wonderful chef.  On request, Gary will accompany guests to play golf at Bridge Pa or Cape Kidnappers The Manse offers so much on the property, from 4-Wheel drive adventures, Clay Bird shooting, Cooking classes, or Whisky and Cigar tasting. Guests tour the local vineyards, play golf or fly fish in the local rivers. And there is a helicopter landing pad onsite.
