Not long after Qatar Airways announced that it would be offering a non-stop service between Auckland and Doha, our clients travelling in Business Class to the UK / Europe started asking "when will Qsuite be coming?". We are pleased to confirm that Qsuite arrived on 1 June 2019.
What is the Qsuite?
Many Business Class travellers will be familiar with the concept of a First Class suite. Privacy is enhanced with a sliding door providing an enclosed personal space while travelling. The Qsuite brings that First Class experience to the Business Class cabin, and more.
Qsuite features the industry’s first-ever double bed available in Business Class (pictured below), as well as private cabins for up to four people with privacy panels that stow away, allowing passengers in adjoining seats to create their own private room (pictured above), a first of its kind in the industry.
Adjustable panels and movable TV monitors on the centre four seats allow colleagues, friends or families travelling together to transform their space into a private suite, allowing them to work, dine and socialise together. These new features provide the ultimate customisable travel experience that enables passengers to create an environment that suits their own unique needs.
Will I get Qsuite if I've already booked my Flights?
For travellers who have already taken advantage of Earlybird Business Class Specials to the UK / Europe if you are departing Auckland on or after 1 June 2019 you are scheduled to have the Qsuite product. You don't need to make any changes to your booking (although you may wish to reconfirm your selected seats).
Will I get the Qsuite on all Qatar Airways flights to the UK / Europe?
The Qsuite is being progressively fitted to Qatar Airways' Boeing 777 and Airbus A350 fleets. At the time of writing, it flies between Doha and London, Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Munich, Berlin, Copenhagen, and Stockholm.
Are Some of the Seats Rear Facing?
Yes the cabin is configured with forward and rear facing seats. The feedback we have received from our clients who have travelled in the rear facing seats (on flights between Doha and the UK / Europe) is that it is no different to the traditional forward facing set-up. If you have a strong preference however, please be sure to ask your Fine Travel Consultant for a forward facing seat.
